GOD WANTS TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE  THROUGH YOU!

ABOUT US

WE EXIST TO HELP PEOPLE BELONG, BELIEVE, BECOME, & BUILD!

Bethel Harvest Church is a community of believers. What does that mean, the word community? We believe that together in fellowship we grow closer to God and one another. The Bible speaks about iron sharpening iron. We believe that together we grow stronger. We are a community of believers.

Bethel Harvest Church strives to be a church without walls. Jesus calls for us to go outside the walls to reach the lost and the broken. It is there that the lost will be found. Bethel Harvest Church makes an effort to be like the church from the book of Acts, to see our city changed.

At Bethel we highly value our relationships with one another. We look to grow through fellowship, and ultimately growing closer to God. We value the Word of God, and the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

We want to help people Belong, to know that you are loved just as you are. We Believe, without compromise, in Jesus and His Word. We help people Become and be a transformed Christ-follower, and together, we Build the Kingdom making a difference.

THE 4B MISSION

BELONG

Belong: At Bethel, you are loved just as you are. Because Jesus knew to Whom He belonged – His Heavenly Father – He lived a life full of love and focused on helping others discover the same love that He knew. From the woman caught in adultery to the rich young ruler, from a greedy tax collector to the religious leaders who judged Him, Jesus never faltered in His unconditional love for all people. Creating belonging was a way of life for Jesus, and at Bethel, we join our lives together on this journey of faith.

BELIEVE

Believe: In Jesus and His Word. Jesus showed us how to keep the Word of God central in all aspects of life. Whether He was being tempted in the desert, challenging religious leaders, or teaching the multitudes, He spoke by the authority of God’s Word. Many ideas and distractions bombard us in today’s world, and we must make an intentional choice to put God’s Word first in our lives. At Bethel, we preach and teach the liberating, life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ.

BECOME

Become: Be a transformed Christ follower. Jesus’ ministry revealed that God made His love and grace available to everyone. Jesus shook people out of the status quo and invited them onto a journey of becoming the men and women God created them to be. Becoming isn’t about gathering information; it’s about experiencing radical transformation and being released into the world with the undeniable message of a changed life!

BUILD

Build: We make a difference. Jesus’ final message to His disciples gave them the purpose for all the events that had led up to that point. He had lived His life with them – they belonged together, they believed together, they became God’s laborers together – and now He told them why. God had not sent Jesus to accomplish the work but to equip and commission believers to be released into the earth to accomplish the work (Matt. 28:19, Mark 16:15).

OUR BELIEFS

FIVE ESSENTIAL TRUTHS

1. The Bible is the Word of God.

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true & to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out & teaches us to do what is right. 1 Tim. 3:16

And we also thank God continually because, when you received the Word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it, not as the word of men, but actually as it is, the word of God, which is at work in you who believe. 1 Thessalonians 2:13

2. Jesus is the Son of God.

Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6

For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says, ‘The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.‘ There is salvation in no one else! There is no other name in all of heaven for people to call on to save them. Acts 4:11-12 (NLT)

3. You must be born again.

When someone becomes a Christian he becomes a brand new person inside. The old passes away, a new life has begun. 2 Corinthians 5:17 (LB)

Jesus: If you try to keep your life for yourself, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for me, you will find true life. Matthew 16:25 (NLT)

4. Baptism comes after salvation and is a next step of obedience for a believer.

Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38(NLT)

Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Rom 6:4(NKJV)

Jesus said, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19

5. Believers can be Spirit-filled and Spirit-led.

...you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you. Acts 1:8

...be filled with the Spirit. Ephesians 5:18

If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him! Luke 11:13
